Breaking news: Dining for a cause restaurant, Cafe 458, now serving dinner

Some new scoop about a great cause:

Samaritan House of Atlanta’s Café 458 is officially starting a dinner menu on Thursday and Friday evenings beginning September 4th.

Until now, the award-winning restaurant has been serving a gourmet brunch menu from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each weekend, where all proceeds including tips – go directly to support programs that help Atlanta’s homeless men and women become self-sufficient.

Located in the Historic Sweet Auburn District at 458 Edgewood Avenue, Café 458’s Executive Chef Jonathan Metellus creates an upscale menu of nouveau Southern cuisine for all Atlantans to enjoy. Here's a sample of the new dinner menu (which was created and prepared by Culinary Institute of America Alumnus):
- Lobster Ravioli
- Seared Filet Mignon
- Sunflower Encrusted Salmon
- Creamy Polenta Cake

Since Café 458’s inception in 1986, more than 23,000 diners have supported this earned-income initiative benefiting Samaritan House.

Samaritan House’s Café 458 Weekend Brunch was named “Best Sunday Brunch” two years in a row in Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta editions in 2004 and 2005.
