Breaking news: JCT launches 3-course fall menu

I was wowed by JCT when I visited a while back for it's Sunday Supper. You get a Southern comfort food version of meat and three plus salad and dessert for $24. That's a serious deal! You know I love a deal, but even better, the food was fan-fricking-tastic. We enjoyed buttery, light-as-air biscuits that melted in our mouths, succulent short-rib pot roast, a big honking slab of red velvet cake and veggie side dishes that stole the show. We had a corn dish of some sort that was out of this world (it was pre-blogging days so I can't recall the details!), and perfect heirloom tomatoes with sea salt and olive oil were a simple summer pleasure.

So I'm thrilled to find that JCT is now doing a Tuesday night 3-course Fall menu. I'll be there with bells on!

JCT Kitchen & Bar is kicking off the fall season with a three-course Fall Hafvest prix-fixe menu available in the dining room every Tuesday night for $29. The menu will change weekly but may include dishes like goat cheese and corn filled pasta with brown butter and sage; pan roasted hanger steak topped with green garlic-preserved tomato butter, turnip gratin and crispy purple scallions; and warm brown butter-almond cake with white chocolate, huckleberries and maple ice cream. Afterwards, diners can enjoy "The Fall Sessions," a weekly live music event featuring local singer/songwriters performing on the rooftop bar.
