Ron Eyester's Beatles Themed James Beard Preview Dinner at Rosebud - Jan. 24.

Atlanta's own Angry Chef, Ron Eyester, of Rosebud and Family Dog will be cooking on February 16 at the James Beard House in NYC. I used to be a member of the Beard House back in my NYC days, and basically they offer amazing, intimate dinners with some of the nation's top chef on a regular basis. So this is an honor for Eyester and some good hype for Atlanta!

Interested in experiencing it but don't want to buy a plane ticket? Well lucky you. You can sample the "Sound Check" dinner on January 24 at Rosebud. Eyester is known for his musical themed dinners, so this one will be Beatles Themed.

Tickets for the James Beard House Sound Check Dinner are $52.00 per person plus tax and gratuity and include the five-course dinner; wine pairings are available for an additional $25.00. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (404) 347-9747. For those looking to continue the revelry, The Family Dog is hosting Parker Smith and Michael Chesin as they perform a Beatles tribute show beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The menu celebrates the anniversary of the world-changing Beatles' February '64 appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. Chef Eyester’s evening at the James Beard House and preview dinner consists of four passed hors d’oeuvres and a five-course tasting menu with wine pairings.


Personally, Piggies and some Eleanor Rigby are sounding pretty good right about now! Aside from the obvious deliciousness factor, I love the Beatles, so this is pretty darn cool. We even used two Beatles songs in our wedding - Here Comes the Sun  and With a Little Help from my Friends. Sigh...good times!
