Atlanta's Speakeasy Cocktail Festival - Labor Day Weekend

Sticking around town for the long weekend and looking for something festive to do? Head downtown to the Georgia World Congress Center for the first annual Speakeasy Cocktail Festival. The event brings together Georgia's best food, beer, wine, cocktails and cigars and celebrates 1920's culture.

There are numerous events taking place. The main event is The Gala (Saturday 12-6, Sunday 2-6), which will combine specialty cuisine, a chef and mixologist contest, charity gambling, vintage music, cigars, and of course a wide variety of cocktails all in a Prohibition era setting.

The Gala is chock full o' fun. Here's a sampling:

Liquid Lounge
The Liquid Lounge will feature domestic and international brewers, distillers and vintners showcasing hundreds of established and emerging labels and alcohol focused beverages. It will also include industry expert-led education and hands-on demos.

MasterClass Lounge at the Gala
In the midst of the gala, take in a class from a chef, distiller, or other industry pro.

Atlanta Cigar Lounge
No speakeasy is complete without cigars, and yes, within the Cigar Experience Tent, you can smoke.  We're not cigar afficianados, but the Mr. loves a good puff on the hookah, so he's pleased that is included in the mix, too.

As if all that isn't enough, you can also take in a burlesque show or a classic car showcase, or play charity poker or pool.

A one-day pass with tastings is $55, a non-tasting pass is $25 (DD anyone?), and a VIP pass is $115. Weekend passes are $90 for tastings and $225 for VIP tickets. Admission includes complimentary glassware, masterclass seminars, access to our Cigar Lounge and samples of wine, beer and spirits. For VIPs, all of the above are included as well as the ability to play in our charity poker tournament and entry into the VIP Lounge. Warning, don't lose that glassware, you'll have to pay for another!
