Atlanta Dining Event: Field of Greens - Sunday, September 30, 2012

It's time once again for one of my fave events of the year - Field of Greens at Whippoorwill Hollow Farm. From 11-5 on Sunday, Sept. 30, you can enjoy (hopefully) crisp fall weather, a bucolic farm setting (45 minutes east of the Capitol) and food from 30 of Atlanta and Athens' best farm to table chefs. But wait, there's more...a kid's village, a chance to meet local farmers, local music, demos and a festival market. Did I mention that I got to milk a goat at the event two years ago? How can you ask for more than that!

The team from Rosebud heads the event up, so the angry chef himself, Ron Eyester will be there in full effect. Joining him are many of your local faves - Robert Phalen (One Eared Stag/Holy Taco), Lance Gummere (of the soon to be opened Bantam & Biddy), Asha Gomez (Cardamom Hill), Shane Devereux (The Lawrence), Todd Mussman (Muss & Turners/Local Three), Craig Richards (Ecco), Eddie Hernandez (Taqueria del Sol), Todd Ginsburg (Bocado), Ryan Smith (Empire State South), Todd Richards (newly of The Shed at Glenwood), and more!

The chef tent opens at 12:30, and there's a pig roast with Todd Mussman at 4. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate, and the chef's tent is free with entry. Get your ticket now!
