Atlanta New Year's Dining Options - 2012/2013

Hard to believe it's almost Christmas, right? Which means that you should be planning your New Year's Eve plans right about now as well.

Here's a round up of your Atlanta New Year's options:

STK


Enjoy delicious food, cocktails, DJs, dancers, a balloon drop at midnight, and more at STK this New Year's Eve. The evening will begin with two dinner seatings at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. featuring STK’s regular dinner menu. At 10 p.m., enjoy a $90 four-course prix fixe menu showcasing STK’s most popular dishes of 2012, which includes a complimentary glass of Moet Chandon Imperial Champagne.

ONE. midtown kitchen

Chef Nick Oltarsh has designed a special a la carte menu for New Year's. The party will kick-in at midnight with a complimentary champagne toast, hats, noisemakers and our annual balloon drop. TWO urban licks

Executive Chef Ed Russell is offering a handful of off the menu specials, in addition to the usual menu, for this special occasion. The Spence

The Spence will open early at 4 p.m. and serve dinner until midnight. Lobby Bar and Bistro
They will be offering a 3-course NYE menu, in addition to their regular menu. Special menu items inclue lobster ravioli, beef tartare, miso cod, lamb loin with mushrooms and truffled lamb jus, and a dessert tasting with sweets such as pistachio creme brulee and choccolate hazelnut bars.

ROOM at TWELVE

LPC (formerly La Pietra Cucina)

Chef Russell Kook is offering a one night only menu full of features befitting the occasion. The $65/person prix fix meal is 4 courses and complimentary amuse and glass of bubbly, including choices such as: lobster salad with burrata, pappardelle with pancetta, parsnips and pecorino, veal cheek ravioli, bone-in veal chop picatta  Delmonico ribeye and banana and chocolate filled bomboloni.

Chef Zeb Stevenson has prepared a special tasting menu for the occasion. There will be live entertainment, a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, a balloon drop and party favors. Celebrate the New Year overlooking the Downtown Atlanta skyline at Nikolai’s Roof. Kick up your heels this New Year’s Eve at Trader Vic's Acapulcoplypse party, featuring one of Atlanta’s favorite bands - Bogey and the Viceroys (I've never heard of them, but I'll take their word for it!). They will be serving a four course dinner for $55 per person (including admission to the party).

Rosebud & The Family Dog

Chef Ron Eyester brings the soul to New Year’s Eve with a James Brown inspired a la carte menu (in addition to a limited version of the regular dinner menu) served from 5:30 p.m. – midnight (last reservation taken at 9:30 p.m.).

Across the street, The Family Dog is open from 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. and will host a James Brown cover band backed by the G.E.D. Soul All Stars.  Live music starts at 10:00 p.m. – cover charge begins at 9:00 p.m. and is $10 (diners at Rosebud will be given free admission).

Watershed on Peachtree

Watershed is serving four courses for $75. Dishes will include scallop schnitzel, fried eggplant with date chutney, beef rib roast with truffle fondant and chanterelles, and sweet potato creme brulee.

The Farmhouse at Serenbe

The Farmhouse at Serenbe will offer a special three-course menu $65. Dishes include poached lobster salad, braised short ribs with red onion marmalade, and champagne crème brûlée. Serenbe is gorgeous and romantic, so stay the night as long as you're down there!

The Optimist

The Optimist will ring in 2013 with a four-course prix fixe menu. They will be offering menu items such as shrimp pop tarts, baked Virginia oysters with spinach, bacon, preserved lemon and parmesan cheese, grouper with white wine steamed clams, lump crab meat, leeks, baby bok choy and lemon, and banana custard pocket pie with pralines and cream ice cream and salted pecans. Serpas

Enjoy a special four-course prix fixe menu of chef Serpas’ classic cuisine on New Year's Eve along with optional wine pairings. Dishes include shellfish stew, redfish, foie gras, stone crab claws and more. There will also be a celebratory champagne toast for the countdown. Additionally, guests may order a la carte from the menu exclusively at the bar and chef's counter throughout the evening. Serpas’ New Year's Eve dinner is $70 per person, not including tax, beverages or gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 404.688.0040 or visiting www.serpasrestaurant.com.

South City Kitchen

Before heading out to celebrate New Year's Eve, join us for a 3-course Southern-style $42 prix fixe dinner to get the evening started out right! Price excludes tax and gratuity. Dishes include: Housemade Pimento Cheese, Fried Green Tomatoes with goat cheese, Buttermilk Crisped Oysters with bacon-creamed greens, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with smashed bliss potatoes, Smoke Roasted Filet of Beef with roasted fingerling potatoes, Atlantic Red Grouper, Caramel Apple Toffee Pudding and Velvet Elvis Cake with banana-chocolate mayonnaise cake and peanut butter icing.

Empire State South

ESS will offer a NYE tasting menu at two seatings, 6 and 8:30.  The menu will be four courses, $75, with optional wine or non-alcoholic beverage pairings. After that, from 11pm til 2, they will host a party.  $30 will get you a ticket, two glasses of bubbly, and passed hors d'oeuvres.  Atlanta based band, Easy Beat, will be playing.  Tickets can be bought in advance or at the door the night of.

Whiskey Park
