Livingston Chef Zeb Stevenson's Last Supper
Last week, Zeb Stevenson, executive chef of Livingston Restaurant + Bar and Proof and Provision announced his upcoming departure in July.
On Sunday, May 19 Stevenson will be hosting his “Last Supper” on the rooftop of the Georgian Terrace, overlooking Midtown Atlanta. There is no set menu as the chef will be heading to the farmer’s market the weekend of the dinner to procure his ingredients but he promises the 12-course, family-style dinner, cooked tableside, will feature “spit-roasted lamb, house-made cheeses, fermented goodies, and witty banter.”
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at Proof & Provision at 6 p.m. with the seated dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person, plus tax and gratuity and will be limited to 24 guests. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.xorbia.com
Gio's Chicken Amalfitano Hosts ACFB Supper Club May 7
Taste rustic Italian cuisine at Gio’s Chicken Amalfitano while also giving back to the community. Gio’s, the sister restaurant of Antico Pizza Napoletana, will host the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Supper Club dining event on Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. They’ll stop serving when the chicken sells out, so come early! Supper Club provides diners the pleasure of enjoying a meal at some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants while supporting hunger relief. Each month a different restaurant serves as host and 20 percent of each diner’s tab for the evening benefits the Food Bank.
Watershed Sans Liege Winemaker Dinner - May 14
Sans Liege Winemaker, Curt Schalchlin and Chef Joe Truex are working together to pair fabulous food with fine wine for a dinner party on Tuesday, May 14. Enjoy five courses and six wines including Wild Georgia Shrimp and Rice Casserole, Roasted Duck Breast with Rhubarb, Border Springs Lamb with fresh-from-the-farm Vegetables, Georgia Grown Strawberries.
Sans Liege produces small batch wines from the Central Coast of California and are primarily made with Rhone varietals such as Grenache Blanc, Reserve Grenache and Syrah-Mouvedre blends. Winemaker, Curt Schalchlin, will be there to share his unique perspective on his intuitive approach to making these highly rated wines.
