The Nordstrom sale is like my Super Bowl. I read all the blogs leading up to it. I carefully comb through the site and save items to my wish list. And then I even stay up until midnight on the night the sale opens to me. Below I share some of my favorite items from this year’s sale for your travel wardrobe.
If you’re not a veteran Nordstrom sale shopper, you might not realize that things sell out very fast. By the time I get access, my most-wanted items are often sold out. So it’s urgent that I buy everything I might possibly want that first night, or at least that’s what I tell myself. I then proceed, to receive approximately 1 billion shipments over the next two weeks. After trying everything on, I head back to Norstrom and end up returning a lot of it.
This year’s sale has some great travel wardrobe staples, from comfy but stylish sneakers to sweats that won’t look sloppy even after a red-eye. Even though the sale hasn’t even started for the general public yet, some items have already sold out. Don’t lose hope because they’ll be sporadically restocking as people return items.

- An easy-to-pack jacket for rainy or chilly days
- Go-with-any-outfit bras
- Cool sneakers you can walk miles in
- Beautiful pajamas that won’t embarrass you if the hotel fire alarm goes off
- Sunscreen that plays nicely with your makeup
- A stylish carry-on bag
